Students’ Indiscipline in Tertiary Educational Institutions of Sokoto State

The study investigated the effects of students’ indiscipline and factors responsible for its ineffective management in tertiary educational institutions Sokoto state, Nigeria. employed a mixed method approach involving 3270 academic staff 4344 final year students all higher State. A Survey which was validated by experts whose reliability coefficient established at 0.9, distributed to sample 692 respondents. While interview conducted with 12 participants bearing saturation rule. Descriptive statistics (Mean Standard Deviation) Coding were used analyze quantitative qualitative data respectively. Findings revealed that on includes: promotion corruption, sexual harassment, poor performance as well examination malpractices. schools’ strategies managing indiscipline, include setting down strategic rules regulations, communicating school-wide communities, apprehending detaining culprits. Moreover, it found efforts manage is being affected such lack parental involvement, insignificant support some staff, technology media, political interference. finally recommends among other things should seek parents, community members, security operatives ensure apprehension, detention suing erring whenever they are indulging any behaviours.
